This thangka portrays Avalokiteshvara as Chittavishramana (Resting in the Nature of Mind). At the top center sits Parnashavari, the female protector against contagious disease. To the upper left is Amitabha Buddha, with the wrathful deity Hayagriva on the right. Below, the white form of Mahakala (the “wealth-bestowing” deity with six arms) appears on the left, while his green form, the “Lord of Life”, is positioned on the right.
